This agency is unreliable and insincere. They hid a mistake they made, which ended up costing me a lot of money and time. They arranged a viewing appointment for an apartment at a very specific time. I rescheduled my work trip and booked flights to make the appointment. Although they knew it was costing me time and money, they canceled it a week before the appointment without any apology or empathetic words. They emailed me that the apartment had been given to someone and said that the mishap happened due to "miscommunication". I had been told that the apartment was on reserve until I visited, so it was a total surprise to me. They refused to explain how the miscommunication happened or did not show any sincerity. They did not seem to care about the trouble they caused to me, the client, and behaved as if there was nothing wrong on their side. They kept blaming the "landlord" of the apartments. I found their behavior opaque, insincere, and lacking professionalism. I recommend that anyone should not rely on only this agency. There are other, more trustworthy agencies and private landlords in Bielefeld. The agents treat you as if all you are doing is house hunting. They don't care if you have a full-time job or other obligations. I am an academic and have teaching and meetings as well as my research to keep me busy all day. The agents email you in an urgent tone and expect you to confirm an appointment or give details in a few hours. They had my phone number to call or send messages, if they needed quick answers. Often, I noticed that the agent did not read my email and asked the same question in a following email. An additional note: Because I had a flight ticket and a non-refundable hotel room to visit Bielefeld, I traveled to visit the agency office. The agents still did not apologize for the inconvenience they caused, did not thank me for coming all the way from a foreign country, and still refused to explain how the miscommunication happened. I found the entire interaction inappropriate and inconsiderate. I also inquired about other apartments. Although they were advertised as available on their webpage, they told me that they had been already taken by other clients. They did not update their database frequently enough. Basically, this agency does not mind causing their clients to waste lots of time and energy. I found a lack of sincerity and basic service minds in their operation. I would avoid this agency. We use real estate agencies to save time and efforts, but they do not seem to understand this basic idea. In their reply below, they still do not admit or apologize for the mistake they made and for wasting my time and money. For them, getting critical feedbacks and complaints from clients is some sort of an attack against them. I have all the records of the conversation and email exchanges. The email said the apartment was reserved until I visited, but they decided to rent it to someone else one week before my appointment. I decided not to continue with this agency after another unreasonable interactions. They again specified a specific time and date to visit another apartment, and urged me to confirm it right away. I am attending a conference this week and didn’t have time to book a trip or ask my colleague to visit on behalf of me. After receiving another inconsiderate, pointless email, I decided not to waste money and time again with this agency. They are simply insincere, opaque, and not trustworthy. I had much more pleasant interactions with other agencies and landlords. There are many better choices in Bielefeld. Now I found an extremely unpleasant and unprofessional email from this agency in my spam folder. The title was “Your inquiry” so the AI thought it was spam. In this email, still they did not admit or apologize for their mistake. This is notorious. This is just purely a waste of time.

Ich erhielt zeitnah einen Besichtigungstermin und hatte die Möglichkeit, mehrere Wohnungen zu besichtigen. So habe ich meine perfekte und zugleich erste eigene Wohnung gefunden, über die ich mich sehr freue. Frau Kling hat sich stets viel Zeit für meine Anliegen genommen und alle meine Fragen ausführlich beantwortet. Dafür bin ich ihr sehr dankbar. Durch ihre freundliche Art und ihre Unterstützung habe ich mich während des gesamten Bewerbungs- und Vermietungsprozesses sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Auch Herr Rommel hat sich bei der Besichtigung viel Zeit genommen, mir mehrere Wohnungen gezeigt und mich kompetent beraten. Dadurch konnte ich die Wohnung auswählen, die am besten zu meinen Vorstellungen passt. Ich habe mich vom ersten Kontakt bis zur Vertragsunterzeichnung bestens betreut gefühlt und kann das Maklerbüro mit bestem Gewissen weiterempfehlen.
